Lip Service

Sometimes they talk a good talk, but when the chips are down...they go home.

Head over to St. John Valdosta's blog to get the lowdown on two more Bishops not supporting the Culture of Life:

Shocking that Bishops would not support pro-life legislation. Even if they thought it wouldn't be passed or that it may not save babies, would it kill them to pay "lip-service" to supporting life? People, the world over, expect Catholics to support pro-life legislation, and were probably surprised to hear this from the mouths of "leaders" of the church. I just don't get it.

It makes you wonder why they do this - when given the opportunity to step up to it, they shrink away, giving mealy-mouthed excuses.

Personally, I think they they pay lip service to the Faith, but they don't want to do anything to offend their hi-profile Democratic friends.
