Dissident's "Springtime" become "Winter of Discontent"

Pat Archbold has a great article on the Era of Dissidence being just about over.  He's a little more optimistic about it than I am.  I do believe that the "Springtime of Vatican II" is thankfully turning into the "Winter of Dissident Discontent", but I have doubts about whether I (at 49) will live long enough to really see it finally die it's much deserved death.

And of course I'm speaking of the Church here in America.  The USCCB has been strong in fighting back against the Obama administration, but at the parish level, there's a longer fight to fight.  We still have some parishes that are in de-facto schism, and even in some of the stronger parishes, the seeds of revolt are still there.  The Universities are overrun with dissent, as are many grade and high schools (like the one in NY(?) where the Jesuit superior thought it okay for a guy to bring a boyfriend to a Prom).

The dissenters have wormed their way into all levels of the Church; it's going to take a spiritual Orkin man to run them all out, and I think it's going to be a long process.

Are Liberals angry about the Boston Marathon bombing?

You bet they are!

Just think - if Romney had been elected, they would have been able to hang the whole thing on him!

But, as luck (bad luck in the liberal's case) would have it, we have yet another example of Islam-driven death & destruction.

So yes, they're mad all right - just not for the reasons the rest of us are!

Sr. Chittister's Still Waiting...

Ho-hum... the usual agitators against the Church are yet again going to get their hopes dashed on the jagged rocks of reality with regards to the Church throwing out her teachings.

Sr. Chittister's latest is a lament about waiting for this "change", which led to a re-fashioning of an old cartoon.

Linus is going to meet the Great Pumpkin before the Church-Haters get their way...
